Abstract
The results of the direct analysis of the ABX spin system present in t wo symmetrical diphosphonates containing a single vinytic C-13 nucleus are presented. This allows a comparison to be made with the two-dimen sional methods used by Beckmann et al. Significant differences are fou nd in the results obtained: the need to recognize the existence of iso topic chemical shifts is emphasized.
