Abstract
A field study was conducted to examine the relationship between leader -member exchange (LMX) and two types of employee behavior: citizenship behavior and impression management. One form of citizenship behavior, altruism, and one form of impression management, other-focused were s ignificantly related to LMX. Implications of the results are discussed .
