Abstract
The morphological description of the immature stages and adult of Obri um cantharinum (L.) is given. The biology and ecology of O. cantharinu m, taking into account the characteristics of the biotop, phenology, h ost plants, breeding material and the factors limiting the reproductio n and occurrence of this species, are discussed. Also the data on its distribution are included.
