Abstract
Techniques and apparatus that can be used to rear bees of the Australi an genus Exoneura Smith in artificial nests are described. The techniq ues allow behavioural observation and experimental manipulation of col onies kept in open areas such as reserves and gardens as well as in la boratory cages. They also enable breeding experiments and manipulation of specific environmental factors, and can be extended for use with o ther allodapine genera.
