T. Odake et al., DEVELOPMENT OF SIGNAL RECOVERING METHOD U SING LOCK-IN AMPLIFIER FOR PULSED-LASER EXCITED CAPILLARY VIBRATION, Bunseki Kagaku, 42(12), 1993, pp. 200000167-200000171
A series of excitation pulses was irradiated on a capillary, and a sta
nding wave capillary vibration (CVL) was induced by using a pulse repe
tition rate equal to the natural frequency of the capillary system. Th
e amplitude of the standing CVL was recovered by a lock-in amplifier.
This method was applied to detect CVL, which has been proposed as an u
ltrasensitive detection method for capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE
). Three femtomole of phenylalanine was detected using a 30 mu m inner
diameter capillary.
