Abstract
The authors study the nonlinear hyperbolic system which describes the motion of isentropic gas flow with external friction acting on it, suc h as a flow through porous media, and show the nonlinear diffusive phe nomena for the large time behavior of solutions for this system by pro ving that the solutions tend to those of a nonlinear diffusion equatio n time-asymptotically.
