Abstract
Valpromid is an anticonvulsant and mood-regulating drug that is devoid of major toxicity when It is used alone. However, valpromid can poten tiate the effects of other psychotropic agents, and vice versa. This i s illustrated by a case-report and by a brief literature review Valpro mid is best given in gradually increasing doses (addition-substitution method).
