Aa. Suvernev et T. Dreier, EVALUATION OF CARS SPECTRA - SPECTRA OF SYMMETRICAL MOLECULES IN THE KEILSON-STORER MODEL, Chemical physics letters, 216(1-2), 1993, pp. 1-4
The quasiclassical theory of rotational relaxation processes is consid
ered for CARS and Raman spectrum of symmetric molecules. The kinetic e
quation is solved under arbitrary strength of collisions and the expre
ssions describing the smoothed spectral contour are derived. The propo
sed processing of experimental data allows one to determine directly t
he cross sections of rotational energy relaxation and vibrational deph
asing processes. In contrast to existing quantum scaling theories, the
bandshape evaluation algorithm does not require time-consuming numeri
cal calculations and can be realized on a personal computer.
