Abstract
Acetals and tetrahydropyranyl derivatives of phenols are efficiently a nd highly chemoselectively deprotected in the presence of catalytic am ounts of [Ru(CH3CN)(3)(triphos)]-(OTf)(2) (triphos = CH3C(CH(2)PPh(2)) (3)), under mild condition, in good to excellent yields.
