Abstract
A case of spontaneous oesophageal rupture following vomiting, secondar y to a hypoglycaemic episode is reported. The case is of interest in i ts presentation and physical signs. It reflects the difficulty in diag nosing a condition associated with considerable morbidity and mortalit y. The importance of recognition of a pattern of symptoms, physical si gns and radiographic findings is emphasized.
