Tv. Salnikova et Nv. Grigorova, THE REPEATED TREATMENTS OF SEEDS BY CHEMI CAL MUTAGENS AS A METHOD FOR EXTENDING DIVERSITY, Genetika, 29(11), 1993, pp. 1842-1849
The repeated treatments by chemical mutagens (DAB, NEU, EI) of common
wheat seeds (variety Belotserkovskava 198) in the M1, M2 and M3 increa
sed the sensibility of wheat to mutagens and the plant sterility in pr
ogenies. NEU and El exerted a stronger prolonged damage effect than DA
B. The highest frequency of visible mutations was detected in the M2 a
fter single and triple treatments by DAB and NEU, and also in the M1 a
fter double treatment. The unique mutants were obtained after triple t
reatment.
