Abstract
It is suggested that islation of non-toxigenous strains of diphtheria corynebacteria is a bacteriological proof of the diagnosis. Underestim ation of the epidemiological situation, presence of non-toxigenous cor ynebacteria in a patient with angina may result in fatal errors.
