Potassium interaction with stage 1 and stage 2 CuCl2-graphite intercal
ation compounds (GICs) at T = 200-degrees-C was investigated. Two new
phases with I(c) = 14.70 angstrom and 12.55 angstrom were fixed. The a
nalysis of the intensities of 001 reflections has shown that these two
phases seem to be biintercalation compounds with the following sequen
ces of the layers: K\CuCl\K\CuCl, respectively.
