The application of capillary electrophoresis for assaying the drug con
tent of pharmaceutical formulations has been studied. Correction of ar
ea for migration times has been found useful in those cases where envi
ronmental conditions lead to increased migration time variability. Fro
m the results, the feasibility of single-point calibration with an ext
ernal standard was shown and experimentally verified.
