Abstract
Barbula amplexifolia (Mitt) Jaeg. is reported from the Altai Mountains of southern Siberia as new to Russia and the Commonwealth of Independ ent States, and is found to be distinguishable from the very similar B arbula coreensis (Card.) Saito of eastern Asia.
