The beta phase obtained in the Ti-42Al-3Cr alloy has an ordered B.C.C.
structure with a0=0.3197nm, which is rich in chromium. The omega phas
e precipitated from the beta phase in this alloy has an ordered hexago
nal structure with a0=0.452nm and c0=0.577nm. The orientation relation
ship between the omega phase and the parent beta phase yields the usua
l orientation relationship: [111]c\\[0001]h and {110}c\\{1120}h.
