Abstract
Observations were made on the behaviour of post-settlement juveniles o f the tellinid bivalve Macomona liliana in the laboratory. Under flowi ng water conditions the juveniles actively emerged from the sediment a nd floated in the water column. The emergence and floating behaviours of Macomona liliana are described. The presence of drifting threads in Macomona liliana is also documented.
