New spiroisoxazoline derivatives were synthesized via novel cyclizatio
n of arylsubstituted alpha-nitroacrylates (naphthyl and phenanthryl an
alogues) with TiCl4 and toluene. The structural determination by singl
e crystal X-ray analysis is reported.
