Abstract
During the application of an inexpensive silicon-calcium alloy, subsil icic acid was synthesized, which corresponds to an enhanced oxygen con tent. The iron distribution in the phases was studied during the cours e of the synthesis and a method is suggested for additional purificati on of siloxen from impurities, the total content of which is in the ra nge 3-7 wt. %.
