Abstract
A case of intrauterine fetal death at 14 week's gestation in a mother with systemic lupus erythematosus is described. Doppler ultrasonograph y performed within 24 hours before fetal death showed reverse end-dias tolic flow velocities on umbilical artery velocity waveforms. The plac ental alteration causing this early gestation is discussed.
