Abstract
On the basis of the developed model of the YSGG:Cr,Tm,Ho active medium (lasing due to I-5(7)-->I-5(8) transition of an Ho3+ ion) the specifi c features of the population on the continuously pumped level H-3(4) o f an Tm3+ ion and I-5(7) of an Ho3+ ion have been identified. These po pulations affect the basic laser parameters, that is, the differential efficiency and the lasing threshold. A good agreement between the cal culated and experimental data is obtained.
