On. Vysotsky et al., NUCLEAR-REACTIONS EXCITATION-FUNCTIONS AT PROTON INTERACTIONS WITH SILICON, UKRAINSKII FIZICHESKII ZHURNAL, 38(8), 1993, pp. 1132-1139
Excitation functions of nuclear reactions promoting formation of radio
active and stable isotopes during interaction of protons with E(p) les
s-than-or-equal-to 100 MeV and Si have been studied. Experimental data
were summarized and excitation functions calculated regarding the mec
hanisms of preequilibrium emission and evaporation of particles from t
he compound nucleus based on ALICE LIVERMORE code. It is shown that th
is model predicts cross sections of the nuclear reactions Si(p, xn yp
zalpha)B for B = P, Si, Mg, Na with accuracy to coefficient 2. To deve
lop the procedure of silicon transmutation doping transmutation coeffi
cients for Al, Mg, Na have been calculated as well as gamma-activities
of the doped material.
