Abstract
A theory of sound generation by the island film deposited on the diele ctric substrate as well as by metal impurities in a dielectric under t he effect of modulated laser beam has been constructed. A new mechanis m of the sound generation is formulated and studied in detail. Peculia rities of UHF light absorption have been studied depending on the shap e of metal impurities.
