Abstract
A mathematical model is proposed for the cooling of the postdischarge channel formed in a spark discharge and in the development of a laser spark in compressible gas. The generation and dissipation of turbulenc e is taken into account, as well as the influence of these effects on the rare of cooling and expansion of the channel.
