Seventy-one campodeids collected by B. Hauser and C. Lienhard in Sumat
ra (63) and in Singapore (8), together with 4 specimens from Bali (P.
Strinati and V. Aellen leg.) and 8 specimens from Nepal (P. Beron and
St. Andrew leg.) belong to the pantropical genus Lepidocampa. Three sp
ecies and four subspecies are recognized, one species (heteroclita) an
d one subspecies (nepalensis) being undescribed up to now. L. heterocl
ita is most interesting for it shares characters with the two subgenus
Lepidocampa s. str. and Paracampa. Accordingly, the definition of Lep
idocampa s. str. is emended.
