Abstract
This paper describes a new control method for a noise reduction system developed to eliminate blur and picture trail in moving pictures usin g image processing. The method uses temporal information as well as ot her parameters such as frequency, amplitude, and picture pattern. The technique has been applied to the noise reduction circuit of MUSE deco ding system (Japanese HDTV).
