Abstract
The role of cytokines in the inflammatory process is of great, importa nce, both for recruiting and activating immunocytes, and because of th eir interaction with epithelial and endothelial cells. Eicosanoids par ticipate in these reactions and often amplify them. This general surve y reviews all known interactions between the two main families of infl ammation mediators.
