J. Biskup et M. Wustenhagen, THE INITIAL PHASE PSYCHOANALYTIC GROUPTHE RAPY SITTINGS - WHO TAKES THE INITIATIVE, Gruppenpsychotherapie und Gruppendynamik, 32(4), 1996, pp. 301-312
It was evaluated, if female and male patients differ in their initial
activity and if depressive patients are less active than others. The i
nitial activity of 37 outpatients in 123 group-therapy-sittings was re
corded. The treatment was a special kind of couple therapy in two para
llel analytical slow open groups with the same therapist. An index of
activity was developed, in which the observed activity was weighted by
the statistical probability. Men and women in the sample didn't diffe
r in their initial activity. But their was a significant correlation b
etween the activities of the partners of the couples in both groups. W
e found active and passive couples. Depressive patients were not diffe
rent from others, some were found active others passive.
