F. Leichsenring et al., CENTRAL RELATIONAL WISHES - CONCEPT AND DEVELOPMENT OF A DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENT, Gruppenpsychotherapie und Gruppendynamik, 32(4), 1996, pp. 323-349
Refering to KONIG's concept of central relational wishes, a self-repor
t instrument was developed. It refers to the diagnostic assessment of
the following relational wishes and the corresponding anxieties and co
nflicts: The wishes for fusion, for relating to a person exactly like
oneself, for being unconditionally accepted, the wish to be nurtured o
r to nurture some other person, the wish for being controlled or contr
ol somebody else, the wish for being admired because of gender charact
eristics. Furthermore, the wish for a dyadic relationship and a self-o
bject-relationship are diagnostically assessed. The questionnaire was
applied in several empirical studies. In this paper, results refering
to internal consistency, re-test-reliability and factor structure are
reported. Correlations with well established diagnostic instruments (G
ieBen-Test, Symptom-Check-List SCL-90-R, Inventory of Interpersonal Pr
oblems) support the validity of the instrument.
