Abstract
HD 22I670, a seventh-magnitude object with an integrated spectral type of about G9 III, is probably composed of two stars of about the same type evolving independently. Such pairs of giants are rare; HD 22I670 is affirmed to be only the eighth such system to have its orbit determ ined. The orbital period is 576 days, the eccentricity 0.3I. The compo nent stars differ in mass by 6 per cent and in luminosity by about 0.7 5m. The minimum masses are near I.3 M.; the orbital inclination is unk nown, but eclipses are not impossible and might be looked for about I9 95 December 7.
