Abstract
The symmetries in some interesting eta meson and charge symmetry break
ing processes are under observation. The relevant and crucial few body
reactions are presented, with the particular attention put to determi
ning the down-up quark mass difference. The short presentation of the
state of the art of world knowledge is summarized.
