2-OXAZOLINES FOR THE REACTIVE EXTRUSION

2-Oxazolines are reactive additives for plastics useful for the prepar ation of reactive blends, for a specific increase in molecular weight (e. g. during recycling) and for the stabilization of polycondensates against hydrolysis. An important requirement for a practical applicati on of such additives is that they are not volatile under the condition s of extrusion. The new reactive 2-oxazoline derivatives based on fatt y compounds provide a class of substances with a sufficiently low vapo r pressure.
