Abstract
Being partially clamped, the piezoelectric crystals decrease the symme try of their response to the mechanical or thermal excitations. This o pens new potentialities to analyze piezoelectric and ferroelectric cry stals. The temperature dependence of ''pyroelectric'' response gives i ntrinsic polarization components of quartz (P1/2 is similar to THETA - T) and KH2PO4 crystal (P1/2 is similar to THETA - T) under conditions of anisotropic limitation of thermal deformations.
