PHARMACO-CLINICAL STUDY OF THE EFFICACY A ND SAFETY OF A NEW GLUCOCORTICOID-COMBINATION COMPARED TO VARIOUS REFERENCE CREAMS

Topical combinations may show advantages over, for example, alternatin g monotherapy in superinfected dermatoses. We compared the efficacy an d toleration of a cream containing 0.1% fluprednidene acetate and 2% m iconazole nitrate with those of 0.05% clobetasol propionate cream and 0.1% betamethasone valerate cream. Vasoconstriction tests, colorimetry and cutaneous tests showed that the combination belonged to the group of topical steroid preparations of moderate potency. Local toleration was excellent.
