The fluctuations between cement sales and clinker production mean that
intermediate storage is required for the clinker in, silos or circula
r stores. This article deals with the transport and storage technology
for cement clinker the different designs, the usual transport systems
and the way they are incorporated in the design of a cement factory.
A description is also given of the dedusting technology for clinker pl
ants, the volumetric air requirements and the space-saving arrangement
of dedusting filters. Guidelines are given for the design of clinker
stores to suit kiln outputs.
