Abstract
The possibility of coding the readouts of the pulse response of a digi tal compression filter for complex signals with linear and nonlinear f requency modulation with a minimum number of digits is considered. A c omputer simulation is used to obtain results which enable the design o f digital filters to be simplified considerably.
