Abstract
Magnesium hydrogen phosphate and Barium hydrogen phosphate crystals we re grown in the presence of sodium meta silicate (sol-gel method). Ram an and IR spectra were measured for the above crystals. Vibrational as signments were made for both the crystals. The large shift of the stre tching and bending modes of water from the free state values indicates the different hydrogen bonds strenghts present in the magnesium hydro gen phosphate crystals.
