A simple spectrophotometric method in the VIS range is proposed for th
e quantitative determination of neodymium diphthalocyanine both in raw
synthetic products and purified material. The method is based on abso
rbance measurements in DMF solutions of the tested samples at four dif
ferent wavelengths, i.e. 500, 633, 671 and 800 nm. The diphthalocyanin
e content is calculated from the calibration graph obtained in the for
m of a linear regression equation.
