The possibilities of vacuum annealing as a means of producing material
s with a determined and homogeneous composition were investigated. It
is shown that the evaporation of A(II)B(VI) powders during vacuum anne
aling is controlled by the diffusion of separate phases of components
from inside the powder crystals to their surface and that standardizat
ion and homogenization of the composition take place throughout the wh
ole volume of material.
