Abstract
Males and females of some Brachyura species, were collected from Septe mber 1991 to September 1992 in the Matinhos and Caioba region. A preli minary biological study was carried out with the above species, having as outstanding features the relative abundance, the carapace width am plitude, the sexual proportion, the frequency of ovigerous females, ec dysis, and incrustation organisms.
