Abstract
A comparison was made of the fatty acid composition in the liver for v arious sizes of squid (Illex argentinus). The proportion of 14:0, 16:0 , 16:1 n-7, and 18:1 n-9 increased, while that of 18:0, 20:4 n-6, and 22:6 n-3 decreased with increasing liver weight. The proportion of 20: 5 n-3 was found to be almost constant for any size of liver.
