V. Michotey et C. Blanco, CHARACTERIZATION OF AN ENDOSERINE PROTEASE SECRETED BY ARTHROBACTER-AUREUS, Applied and environmental microbiology, 60(1), 1994, pp. 341-343
A 22-kDa endoserine protease secreted by an Arthrobacter aureus strain
was identified. The optimal temperature for this protease was 70-degr
ees-C. Protease production was maximal at the end of the exponential g
rowth phase, and the protease was induced by amino acids and peptides
and repressed by carbon sources.
