Abstract
The observed negative frequency of w(pl) at k=0 for various simple met als have been evaluated using the interacting electron-plasmon picture for a system of electron gas by generalizing the Bohm-Pines method to include non-RPA effects. In order to reproduce the experimental data of the negative frequency shift at k=0, we have assumed that the plasm on spectrum has been extended to a value beyond k(c)-RPA. Our calculat ed values are in good agreement with that of the experimental result.
