Abstract
Starting with poly(dichlorosilylene-co-methylene) (SiCl2-CH2-), the sy nthesis of new poly(dialkylsilylene-co-methylenes) was achieved by the Grignard method. The oligomeric products of the general composition ( SiR(2)-CH2-)(x) (with R = CH3, C2H5, C3H7, C4H9, C5H11 and C6H13) were characterized by IR, H-1,C-13 and Si-29 NMR spectroscopy and elementa l analysis. The number and weight averages M(n) and M(w) were determin ed by gel permeation chromatography.
