GENERATION OF EXACT-SOLUTIONS TO A CLASS OF QUASI-LINEAR HYPERBOLIC MODELS VIA REDUCTION TECHNIQUES

We consider a quasilinear nonhomogeneous hyperbolic system of partial differential equations of first order involving two dependent and two independent variables. We carry out a reduction approach for determini ng exact solutions to the model under interest by requiring it to be c onsistent with a pair of additional equations which define Riemann-lik e invariants along the characteristic curves.
