Abstract
The use of tert-butyl hydroperoxide as an oxidant in Gif-type systems (GoAgg(IV) and GoAgg(V)) catalyzed by various Fe(III) species is exami ned. Regioselectivity studies of these systems have revealed several c haracteristics similar to those observed for other previously reported Gif-type reactions. A common reaction pathway for the GoAgg(IV) and G oAgg(V) oxidation systems and other Gif-type reactions (from alkane vi a alkyl hydroperoxide to ketone or alcohol) is seen.
