R. Redmer et Ww. Warren, EXPANDED FLUID ALKALI-METALS IN THE PARTIALLY-IONIZED PLASMA MODEL, Contributions to Plasma Physics, 33(5-6), 1993, pp. 374-378
The model of a partially ionized gas is utilized to calculate the equa
tion of state, electrical conductivity, and electronic magnetic suscep
tibility of expanded metal fluids along the coexistence curve. The eff
ects of screening, self-energy and cluster formation are found to be e
ssential. The implications on the mechanism of the metal-nonmetal tran
sition are discussed.
