Laser produced plasma generated by 10ns KrF laser pulses has been inve
stigated by means of X-ray spectroscopic measurements. Electron densit
y and temperature have been obtained with one-dimensional space resolu
tion. The electron temperature was determined from the slope of free-b
ound continuum to He-like ions. The electron density was estimated fro
m the opacity of resonance line emissions and also from Stark broadeni
ng. The observed profiles agree with one-dimensional hydro-dynamic sim
ulation result.
