Abstract
Three new neo-clerodane derivatives, scutalpins B-D, were isolated fro m the acetone extract of the aerial parts of Scutellaria alpina subsp. javalambrensis. The structures of these compounds were established ma inly by spectroscopic means as (11S)-11,19-diacetoxy-4 alpha,18-epoxy- 8 beta-hydroxy-6 alpha-tigloyloxy-13-neo-cleroden-15,16-olide (scutalp in B), (11S)-19-acetoxy-4 alpha,18-epoxy-8 beta,11-dihydroxy-6 alpha-t igloyloxy-13-neo-cleroden-15,16-olide (scutalpin C) and (13S)-11 beta, 19-diacetoxy-4 alpha,18;8 beta,13-diepoxy-6 alpha-tigloyloxy-neo-clero dan-15,16-olide (scutalpin D).
