J. George et al., INFLUENCE OF SHORT PINEAPPLE FIBER ON THE VISCOELASTIC PROPERTIES OF LOW-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE, Materials letters, 18(3), 1993, pp. 163-170
Viscoelastic properties of low-density polyethylene reinforced with sh
ort pineapple fibers, extracted from pineapple leaves, have been studi
ed as a function of temperature at different fiber orientations. It wa
s found that longitudinally oriented fiber composites show the maximum
value of storage modulus. The effects of fiber loading and fiber leng
th on the viscoelastic properties have been assessed.
